OOC Information:
Name: Quix
Are you over 15? Yep.
Contact: AIM: uncannyArtisan

IC Information:
Name: Her title as the troll empress was Her Imperious Condescension, or the Condesce. However, as a human she will just be named Coral Peixes.
Canon: Homestuck
Age: Her preincarnation self was thousands of years old. Her current self is a modest 39.
Preincarnation Appearance: Hair you could get lost and die in.
Any differences: The most important difference is that instead of being an aquatic, horned alien, the Condesce is now an attractive, mid-thirties african american woman with no particularly alien features to speak of. She has short, wildly styled dark hair, an athletic frame, and stands at about 5'9". I'm going to be using a short haired Halle Berry for her PB.

Preincarnated History: Here is a wiki link for what is a very convoluted tale.

Given that the Condesce's life lasted for thousands of years, her story is a long one. It starts, in fact, in another universe, on a different version of the planet she would come to rule called Beforus. In that existence, she was a young troll named Meenah Peixes, the heir to the throne of her decidedly benevolent species, tasked with the care of its entire population. In Beforus's culture there was a caste system dependant on blood color and longetivity, and those closest to the top were considered responsible for nurturing and bettering the trolls lower than them in every way they can. However, Meenah herself was not nearly so generous as he predecessor, and she chose to abdicate her position and flee from her responsibilities, hiding out on one of Beforus's moons.

It was after this that she discovered the code for a game called Sgrub, one that would pull her and eleven of her other troll friends into its snare. The intent of Sgrub is that, in exchange for the destruction of their homeworld, the players are given the opportunity to create a new universe by completing a series of quests in the game's world. However, Meenah's play group was never destined to succeed.

Losing the game and at a loss for other options, the players eventually opted to take the only chance they had - to restart their session from scratch and allow their descendants to play instead of them, with the promise that their next in line would have the strength they needed to win the game. This resulted in the entirety of Beforus's history to be rewritten, transforming it into a new world called Alternia, where those highest on the hemospectrum and longest lived ruled cruelly over those beneath them, in a society of violence and oppression.

And Meenah was reincarnated into this new world as their queen.

Like the rest of her friends, she lost all memory of the game and the life on Beforus that had come before it. Instead, as the only member of the highest Tyrian caste, she grew up to revel in the power and wealth it afforded her, rising to her position as Her Imperious Condescension and seizing a brutal stranglehold over troll society for thousands of years to come. It's unclear whether there was ever an other Empress before her reign, but there would not be any after. She would successfully kill all of her successors before they could take power from her, up until the last was saved from her clutches by entering into her own session of Sgrub, just as had been promised. Shortly after the heir's escape, the entirety of the troll species was killed by the psionic screams of the creature Gl'bgolyb.

This vast, tentacled behemoth was the Condesce's trump card in maintaining control over her empire. With a unique psionic bond to the creature, she was capable of, at any time, commanding it to wipe out the entirety of the lower castes. While it made a good threat, however, it wasn't practical for ruling, and so along with that power she organized a culture built around the suppression and enslavement of the lower castes, using fear as her primary weapon. The few rebellions that rose up against her were all successfully quashed, and after the most recent one caused her to mobilize all the adults of the troll species into space to overtake the galaxy, the odds of coordination solid enough to challenge her was near nonexistent. However, her own machinations turned on her when she allowed herself to travel too far from Gl'bgolyb, weakening her bond to the degree that she was unable to stop the creature from destroying her Empire when a hail of meteors struck Alternia and killed it.

The speed of her vessel was severely limited when the psionic troll she used to power it was killed by the scream, leaving her to spend several centuries traveling back to Alternia, only to find the ruins of her civilization. It was there that an inter-dimensional creature called Lord English offered her purpose, in exchange for becoming his servant.

It was in his service that the Condesce took her battleship to Earth and began a quiet infiltration under the pseudonym Betty Crocker (yes, in Homestuck Betty Crocker is an evil alien empress, bear with me). Within a century she had created the powerful Crocker Corp, putting her in the perfect position to overwhelm human society and put herself on top with her alien technology.

After having taken control, the Condesce found herself displeased with the human race, and started a campaign of inhumane experimentation intended to change them into something resembling her own species. Unfortunately, the vast loss of life caused by this, combined with her decree for humans to cease breeding on account of the fact that she found their mating process distasteful, simply caused humankind to go extinct. A few centuries after all but two of the human species had died out, the entire universe was destroyed by an external power that really does not bear getting into.

The Condesce went on to overtake the most recent session of Sburb, becoming the Black Queen of the setting's evil empire, but to this point in canon it has not made it entirely clear how or why. However, it has been made clear that she hated Lord English enough to be willing to try bargaining with her enemies in an attempt to destroy him.

Reincarnated History Coral Peixes was born the daughter of a relatively weathy business owner, and as such she spent most of her youth with the expectation that she was destined to inherit power and wealth. However, while this may have caused some to become a slacker reliant on their family's cash cow, Coral was just the opposite. Knowing she was destined for greatness, she made it her business to be even more wealthy and successful than those that had come before her. In this case, it meant learning all the things she'd need in order to make her ascension to the head of her father's modest pharmaceuticals company every bit as revolutionary as she expected it to be.

She spent the first twelve or so years of her adult life working her ass of to earn both her MD and PhD, becoming a trained medical scientist in excellent time. Her ambition and forceful personality gained her remarkable grades as well as plenty of connections through her school days, and once she was finished she finally came back to work at her fathers company, wetting her feet in the pond she had every intention of ruling.

Of course, despite so many of her aspirations resting on her father's legacy, they never got along especially well. She always suspected that he would have preferred a son to carry on his business, but few tears were shed on her part due to that rejection. Instead, his bias simply resulted in her developing a bitter contempt for her ostensibly simple minded father, and after having assured that things were in order for the day when she would inherit, she quickly became tired of complacent waiting.

Which is why when her father suffered a heart attack that she was the only one to witness, she made the savvy decision to not call the hospital. Who had the time to wait for the old bastard to retire?

While it was never entirely clear to her whether or her decision was the one that doomed him, she spared as few thoughts to it as possible as her plans finally had a chance to take form. Over the next few years the entire company was reorganized and re-branded into Triton Technologies, expanding their areas of research into genetic engineering and other enhancements of the human body.

Seven years into her reign, Coral has achieved a great deal of both power and success. But much like the Condesce, her appetite is never truly satisfied.

First Echo: Coral's first echo resounded with her experiences as the Condesce trying to clone her then extinct race, and the inevitable despair and anger that resulted when they would die on her again and again. On earth, however, it took the form of a promising genetic research project unexpectedly failing when a supposedly effective serum ended up killing the animals they were testing it on. While Coral was anything but pleased about the results and enjoyed a few hours of frustrated ranting at her boyfriend, what she regained was the natural lifespan of her tyrian blooded counterpart. She's now functionally immortal and feels like she's twenty again, which she is pretty enthusiastic about despite not knowing the full effects.

Preincarnation Personality: While her history probably gives a fairly clear indication of what kind of person she was, I will go out on a limb and say that she is a horrible being in almost every way. Throughout her life she has guiltlessly indulged in slavery, torture, mass murder, and even straight up xenocide with little remorse. She ruled her own species like a merciless tyrant, and when give the chance, she treated humankind even worse. The only thing she's ever shown regret for is the extinction of her own civilization, but this is most likely out of pride and because it left her without her Empire rather than due to any sort of compassion.

She was bloodthirsy, vain, and filled with a seemingly endless greed. If Meenah, her previous incarnation's, personality is any indication, she has the same dedicated lust for gold and other finery. If she hadn't been born into great wealth she probably would have been the sort to pursue it at all costs.

She abused the former rebel the Psiioniic for thousands of years as the living power source for her space ship - he was only given freedom when he died in the same moment the rest of the Empire fell, after nearly being driven to death on her orders. She's the one that happily created a society where not only was this his fate, it was the fate of the thousands of other psionic trolls that powered her fleet.

While its been said that she knew how to be elegant in her own way, and how to act like an Empress, her personal disposition was actually distracting casual an unrefined in some ways. Her manner of speaking was rather crude and with generally poor grammar, very reminiscent of our conception of a "ghetto" dialect. She is the sort of alien empress who would unabashedly wear shutter shades and I think that says a lot.

Any differences: The most major difference between the Condesce and Coral is that Coral is not a completely wretched person. She can still be selfish, vain, and downright aggressive about getting her own way. But she isn't a monster like her past life was. At least not yet.

She's capable of valuing friends beyond just a means to an end, and while it's more flexible than many, she does have something of a moral conscience. She wouldn't burn down an orphan age for her personal gain, but the Condesce definitely would.

Her appreciation of life takes more of a hedonistic bend than something entirely focused around greed and pride. She can be downright helpful and even occasionally kind if she likes you. But if she doesn't...well, at least now that she isn't an evil empress she probably won't straight up murder you for it. Probably.

She also conducts herself in what is arguably a less ridiculous manner. She enjoys being devil may care about other people's opinions, but running a business requires presenting yourself in a way that is at least sort of respectable.

Abilities: During her reign as Empress, the Condesce's powers were much more straight forward. Though troll kind has a predisposition towards psionic abilities, it is primarily the domain the lower castes, and by all indications the Condesce herself was not gifted that way, at least from the start.

Instead, however, she had the benefits of her rare tyrian caste - she was hatched with what is ostensibly functionally eternal youth, with a lifespan that lasts for thousands of years if not more. Beyond that, she had the ability to share this lifespan with others - her "kiss" is capable of extending a creature's life to match her own, as well as making their connection to life generally more robust and harder to extinguish. There is likely some limiting factor to how many creatures she can bestow this on but it's never explicitly outlined in canon.

Beyond that highbloods seem to display advanced levels of strength and endurance in comparison to the lowblooded castes, with the Condesce's genetically identical descendant lugging a whale sized creature through the water on her own, and also jumping great distances out of the water. This means that the Condesce was likely a powerful martial combatant even outside of the plethora of super powers she would gain later.

Which is to say, later in canon, she gains a crapload more of them! Remember how I mentioned that lowblooded trolls are prone to psionic ability? Well, after Alternia was destroyed, the Condesce used her centuries of solitude to experiment with genetics and her own capabilities. After what was presumably years and years of experimentation, she began to unlock the full spectrum of her species' psionic potential - including but perhaps not limited to mind control, communing with animals, powerful telekinesis, and highly destructive psionic energy attacks. While it has been yet to be shown in canon, it is possible that she has access to every psionic ability a troll could develop but since the four listed are confirmed and quite enough on their own I'm not going to bother with anything else until it is explicitly stated one way or the other.

In terms of equipment, she had, at the very least, a huge spaceship, a psionic connection with an elder god companion, and a rad golden trident.

Roleplay Sample - Third Person: Coral was on her morning run, chatting to her secretary through her Bluetooth headphones about various work related oddities when she suddenly realized that she'd already completed her morning circuits and was hardly tired at all.

She wasn't sure how to describe the feeling, really. It was like she'd woken up that morning with pounds of weight off her shoulders that she hadn't even realized were there until that moment. It felt fantastic.

"Okay, hold that thought," she said, interrupting her secretary mid sentence.

"Uh...what is it, Miss Peixes?" they asked. Coral grinned into the fresh morning air.

"Dang girl, I feel like Zeus jizzed in my coffee this morning. I'm gunna be in a half hour later, kay, I think I gotta ride this one out." She closed the call on her iPhone without waiting for a response. Picking up the pace, she started another lap of the park.
